Glittery yarn, yarn with sequins or similar (50 grams)

Needles: 6 mm circular needles, as you will work back and forth with many stitches.
Gauge:
Gauge in 2 strands of Bella: 13 st and 24 rows in 10 x 10 cm
Gauge in 1 strand of Wool Mohair: 14 st and 26 rows in 10 x 10 cm
Gauge is only kept on the star itself, not on the shooting stars.
Important: The star itself is worked in two strands of Bella, while the shooting stars is made with only one strand of Bella. If you are working with Wool Mohair, both parts are made with a single strand.
Procedure:
First the shots of the star is made, and then the cover for the star itself is knitted. Make the parts in this order, so that you know, you will have enough yarn for the shots. If you end up missing yarn for a couple of cm of the star, it won’t be a problem. Just bind of a when you run out of yarn, and it will not mean anything for the result.
The cover of the star is sewn halfways together in the ends, to a tube, with Kitchener stitches.
The light chain is placed in the casing of the star, and then the cover is sewn onto the star with mattress stitch. If wanted a buttonhole is made for hanging with buttonhole stitches.
The star shots are mounted on the bottom of the star, together with single strands of glitter/sequin yarn.
